March 2020 Fishing Report

FRANK & FRAN's HATTERAS ISLAND FISHING REPORT - 3/30/2020

Bob Baker with a very nice drum from yesterday. I saw 4 altogether and a few pups. I also saw spot, croaker and sea mullet. It was super rough and the grass was bad, but there was some fish being caught. I also heard of some sea mullet and puffers here in Avon.

There has been some sea mullet here on the Avon beaches. Along with sea mullet and blowtoads on the southern beaches. Don't forget to check our website for some new products and good deals at www.hatteras-island.com.

We had reports of blow toads and sea mullet caught on ramp 48 and 49 today. It was a beautiful day today until the wind switched this evening and brought a chill back!

FRANK & FRAN'S HATTERAS ISLAND FISHING REPORT - 3/8/2020

We do not have much to report today as the surf was too rough and would have required a cinder block to hold bottom! The weather is looking great the next few days with temps in the mid 60's and winds out of the SW. We will be open 8 - 4 this week. Stop in and grab some fresh shrimp or frozen (local caught) cobb mullet and get out there and give us a fishing report!

What a beautiful day with temps in the 60's. Today we had reports of puppy drum and sea mullet in Buxton.

We are still working on getting the shop back in order. New products arriving every day! Check out all the new pier carts and rod racks that John has been busy assembling.
