ADIÓS! MO SKITOS! COMBINES 6 ESSENTIAL OILS

Pure Castor Oil

A natural choice when you want  to add luxurious moisture to your skin.  Castor Oil has been known for thousands of years to have many uses but I chose this oil  for my List of 6 to moisturize your skin when combined with the other potent, yet ultra-light blend of natural repellant oils below.

Did you know?

Castor Oil has a natural SPF of 6? Not tons, but I'll take it.  So, when the bugs are all gone  for the day and the strong scents of my oils below begin to fade, all you will be left with is silky smooth skin with a small SPF, no need to shower or rinse off any residue or smells.  Castor oil has also been known to help lighten up age spots and scars.

Pure Peppermint Oil

Pure peppermint oil has a high concentration of natural repellants, one in particular is menthone. This yellow oil is steam-distilled directly from the herb and  can be found in many health food stores. Peppermint oil is high in Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Vitamin A, C, Minerals, Manganese, Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Folate, Copper and Potassium that soak right into your skin.  AND...good news!  If you do get bit by a bug, just spray AMS (Adiós! Mo Skitos!) right on the bite and AMS will sooth your skin and take the itching away.  So, the jury is in  on the  peppermint plant... it is one of the most naturally beneficial plants in the world and that's why it was chosen for my List of 6.

Caution:
The strong aroma and menthol content of peppermint should be avoided during pregnancy. Check with your doctor before using this product.

Pure Lemon-Eucalyptus

Lemon-Eucalyptus oil has an extremely strong scent which many find appealing. That's all good, but the main reason this oil made my List of 6 was that the strong aroma lets bugs know you are not food.  For some people, this fragrance also has some very soothing properties that help them relax.

Disclaimer: The strong aroma and menthol content should be avoided during pregnancy. This oil should also NOT be taken orally as it can be toxic. This is why we don't recommend our product for children under 4 years of age to avoid any risk of ingestion.

Pure Lemongrass Oil

What doesn't this natural oil  help with? The strong aroma repels anything that might be looking at you for a quick meal, plus studies are showing high marks for its  anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits and more.  This oil is so much more than a one pony show and that's why it made my List of 6.

Disclaimer:  The strong aroma and menthol content should be avoided during pregnancy. This oil should also NOT be taken orally as it can be toxic.

Pure Citronella Oil

My  Citronella Oil has a well-rounded lemon citrus scent, but much softer than actual lemon and with a touch of wood tones. Along with repelling flying insects, Citronella Essential Oil has been said to slow the growth or spread of harmful airborne bacteria.  Citronella Oil is known to uplift negative moods, relax the body and mind, reduce muscles spasms, ease headaches, and boost energy which makes Citronella Oil an obvious choice for my List of 6.

Cautions: Citronella may irritate sensitive skin. Avoid use during pregnancy.

Pure Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel

My  alcohol-free Witch Hazel Distillate is a clear, colorless botanical extract prepared from the recently cut and partially dried, dormant twigs of the Hamamelis Virginiana Linne plant. The complete list of benefitial properties of this wonder plant be can found everywhere on the internet, but I love it for it's  soothing natural astringent properties. Many think the clear ingredient in AMS is water, but that is far from the case.  The witch hazel is extremely refreshing when you need bug spray on a hot summer's day, and with it's astringent qualities, a great option for anyone with oily skin or who are prone to acne.  I could go on about Alcohol Free Witch Hazel and that's why it made my exclusive List of 6.
