Our staff is full of avid anglers who travel around the Outer Banks, keeping track of fishing trends and developments. They use that knowledge to keep you supplied with the baitfish that the drum, bluefish, sea mullet and other local fish are currently biting on so you can lure them in.
Keep Your Fishing Prospects Fresh
The bait selection at Frank & Fran's changes regularly based on what's swimming in local waters, what our suppliers have in stock, if weather conditions allow us to catch certain baits and other factors. Still, we strive to carry the best fresh bait so you start with a leg up. Our regular bait selection includes fresh shrimp for sea mullet, mullet for red drum and bloodworms for whiting, spot and croaker. You may also find nightcrawlers, bunker, peeler crabs, spot and other fresh baits.
Frank & Fran's only sells fresh bait for surf fishing at our Hatteras Island store and doesn't offer online ordering. However, you can view our up-to-date catalog online or call us at 252-995-4171 to find out what's available. Then stop in from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET seven days a week to get the bait you need. Our staff is happy to give you advice based on your fishing plans; our regular Outer Banks fishing reports are another great source of sportfishing information.
